1. Purpose and acceptance
dodobrain42 Shorts is a Windows desktop tool for processing authorized gaming streams and recordings, creating short-form videos, and sending owner-approved content to connected platform accounts. By using the app, the user agrees to these terms and the applicable rules of each connected platform.
2. Personal or authorized media only
The app may be used only with media the user owns or is authorized to process and publish. The user is responsible for all video, audio, music, artwork, names, likenesses, game footage, captions, metadata, and other material included in a Short, and for obtaining any permissions required to use them.
3. Account authorization
The user may connect only accounts the user owns or is authorized to manage. The user is responsible for reviewing the account identity, requested permissions, privacy choice, title, schedule, and final content before approving an external action. Access may be disconnected or revoked through the app or the platform's account controls.
4. Platform rules
Use must comply with the current terms, developer policies, content rules, rate limits, and technical requirements of YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and any other connected service. The app must not be used to evade platform review, privacy restrictions, publishing limits, copyright controls, or account safeguards.
5. Review and publishing responsibility
Automated analysis, captions, scores, layouts, schedules, and duplicate checks can be incomplete or incorrect. The user remains responsible for reviewing content and confirming that each publishing action is appropriate. The app's safety gates reduce risk but do not transfer responsibility for the content or the connected accounts.
6. Service availability
The app and its platform connections are provided on an as-available basis. No guarantee is made that a platform, API, authorization flow, upload, schedule, processing job, or feature will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible, or error-free. Platform providers may change or withdraw features without notice.
7. No warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or guaranteed publishing results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app's owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost revenue, lost data, account restrictions, missed schedules, or platform actions arising from use of or inability to use the app. Any direct liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount the user paid for the app during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; for a free personal app, that amount is zero, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Termination and disconnection
The user may stop using the app and disconnect linked accounts at any time. Access may be suspended or terminated when necessary to protect accounts, comply with platform requirements, respond to misuse, or address a security risk. Disconnection does not automatically delete content already sent to a platform; that content remains subject to the platform's controls and policies.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated to reflect actual app behavior, security needs, or platform requirements. A revised effective date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means the user accepts the revised terms.
11. Contact
For questions, support, or account-disconnection help, use the contact links published on the official dodobrain42 Twitch channel profile. Do not send passwords, authorization codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, or other secrets.
